is world famous for the various reefs nearby and the superb diving
sites. See Giant Manta, Whale Sharks, sea turtles and a whole underwater
wonder-world.
There are 3 Scuba operators in the area, all very
professional with friendly and enthusiastic Dive Masters and Instructors.
Snorkelling in the area is great - can do a little bit off our rock
reef here at Mango Beach, but for serious snorkellers, an Ocean Safari
with one of the scuba companies is FANTASTIC - they drop you off
with the whale sharks so you can swim with them - an experience of
a life time.Another very popular activity is the kayaking trips
on the Inhambane lagoon. There are two types: mangrove tours
and a full day island trip. The mangrove tour takes you into
the mangrove system - great for bird watchers, while the island trip
takes you back into time to experience traditional Mozambican
hospitality, their food and a sailing trip on a dhow.
On most days the local surf spot at Tofinho is pumping with a
great point break - no need to bring your board, simply rent one.
